Hailing from Winston-Salem, NC, A Light Divided was formed in August 2007, this pop-metal tour de-force has already played in excess of 300 shows across 13 states, shared the stage with countless national acts and winning the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands (and a slot on the Warped Tour) in 2009.
A Light Divided is a band whose hard-work ethic and determination are matched only by the intensity of... their music, which was described in Meun Magazine as “definitely full on metal...with a taste of the best rock sound to engage many other fans”. Think driving guitars layered with note-perfect clean vocals, accompanied by full-on thrash screams and beats that will shake your bones and leave you wanting more.
In 2010, the band independently released their EP “For The Sake of Change”, and embarked on a 3 week tour of the east coast, followed by a second, 10 date support tour later that year. Among their long (and growing) list of achievements to date, were shows with bands such as Mushroomhead, August Burns Red, Powerman 5000, In This Moment, and Bury Your Dead and just to top it all off… Jaycee was named 2010 Female Vocalist of the Year at the Carolina Music Awards, and has been nominated again for 2011.
2011 was also huge for A Light Divided, with the release or their new album “Ransom” on June 24, they hit the road again in support of the record, going harder and further than before! Having recently inked a management deal with Damon Moreno and The Inner Light Agency/iLA, the sky would indeed appear to be the limit for A Light Divided. Legends in waiting. And the wait is just about over.
