Blacklist Union is a Hard Rock/Metal/Punk band from Hollywood, California. Blacklist Union was formed in early 2004 by Frontman Tony West. Searching Hollywood for the most talented and veteran musicians he could find, West added Carmine D'Amico on Guitar, JR on Bass Guitar, and Sean Davidson on Drums, along with his own unique vocal stylings. The result was one of the fastest rising bands in the Los Angeles area. Playing to sold out shows nearly every night, Blacklist Union quickly gained a reputation as the premier band in Los Angeles as well as within their musical genre.
After storming the Los Angeles music scene for nearly a year, Blacklist Union entered the studio to record their debut offering "After The Mourning".in early 2006. Produced by Chris Johnson ( Josh Todd, Evanescence, Goldfinger) the 10 song debut disc garnered immediate attention throughout the music industry, including airplay on over 60 radio stations across the United States, Canada, Europe and Japan, including several internet formats as well. A video single for the song "Please Kill Me" co-produced by Jamie Mitchell and Mark Racco (Guns and Roses, Stone Temple Pilots, Panic, Channel) was also offered to rave reviews, both Nationally and Internationally.
Blacklist Union then set out on a 45 date Nationwide tour in support of the debut offering and video single. Playing such well known venues as The Whisky A Go Go, Viper Room and Key Club in Hollywood California, Jaxx Nightclub in Springfield Virginia, The Trash Bar in New York City, The Hi-Fi Club in Cleveland Ohio, I-Rock in Detroit Michigan, and The Elbo Room in Chicago Illinois, Blacklist Union has gathered a national following through relentless touring, promotion, unrivaled showmanship and professionalism.
Currently Blacklist Union is in the process of recording their follow up album, tentatively titled "Breaking Bread With The Devil". A more expansive National tour in support of the new offering is being planned which should keep Blacklist Union on the road well into 2008 and beyond. Also in the works for late 2008 is a UK and European tour, to meet the flood of response from the International press and music community.
Blacklist Union's music offers the listener far more than the current cookie-cutter, over-processed and bland Indie Rock on the air and music store shelves today. With catchy hooks, memorable lyrics and a stage presence to rival any arena act, Blacklist Union has become the standard bearer for a new breed of Rock and Roll, a fact that can be heard with every song on "After The Mourning" and is backed up by reviews from the likes of Metal Edge Magazine, Metal Hammer Magazine and Strutter Magazine. All agree that Blacklist Union are on the cusp or Rock and Roll superstardom.
