Need to lay some drum and bass tracks on a budget. I have nothing but the instruments and a smoking PC. What gear do you guys recomend for a start-up home project with a low budget? Need Mics too I guess. ;(

6pc drum kit and bass.

this all depends on what kind of budget you have, what kind of sound you're looking to get, how often you're planning on doing this sort of thing, if you're gonna buy the software or "find" the software, etc

So you've already got the pc, part of your cost is out of the way.  I would look into the ProTools MBox 2.  If you purchase a brand new one I would say you can get that at around $400 maybe.  Always check EBay.  That would give you protools LE powered software...good stuff.  Your problem may be the interface.  How may inputs do you want?
