Biography

Killer Sixgun was formed in 2006 by rock - shred guitarist Laki Ragazas. Their music mainly moves into the melodic hard rock genre.

The line up consists of Laki Ragazas, a very talented guitarist, composer and noted guitar instructor, John Jeff Touch, one of Europe's most promising rock vocalist, who has worked with Lars Eric Mattson's Vision project (Lion Music) among various projects around Europe, and bassist Stelios Tzioumerkas, who has worked with Laki Ragazas in previous projects.

Renaissance of melodic rock with a modern approach are the basic elements that characterise this project, where a large audience longs for upcoming artists to support this kind of music.

Their first self financed compilation of eight songs was made in 2006. The songs reflect the band's unique chemistry, ability to play with a great feel, as well  as some great compositional and technical skills. Some of them are instrumental, while the band maintains a vocal song direction. The CD received great reviews from printed and online magazines around the world.

The band soon took the project in concert, playing in venues around Greece and other places in Europe, where the audience responded greatly to their music. One of the latest and most significant show was supporting UFO (Dec 2nd 2006) in Greece, some videos of it are uploaded in the Killer Sixgun official website.

At the moment Killer Sixgun is working on new material, as they are focused on further discography.

Hard rock - shred guitarist Laki Ragazas had his first contact with the guitar when he was 14. Influenced by the overwhelming expression and technique of guitarists such as Jimi Hendrix, Michael Schenker and Gary Moore it didn’t take long to give in to the magic of playing on stage.  With a great professional background, working as a session musician, playing with numerous bands touring just about everywhere, he’s attained maximum live experience in excess of 1000 performances, including TV shows on local and satellite channels, and had the opportunity to be the opening act of international artists like Nazareth, HTP (Glenn Hughes - Joe Lynn Turner Project), Eric Sardinas and UFO.  In 1996 he was nominated among 12 guitarists all over the world for a full year scholarship to attend the Atlanta Institute of Music which was in cooperation with Jason Becker.   In 1997 he won a $5000 scholarship from Boston’s Berklee College of Music.   He's been voted in Greek guitar fan sites as "one of the best Greek guitarists".   For the last ten years he’s been working as a guitar instructor in various music schools of Thessaloniki and he has successfully made guitar instruction clinics around Greece. In recent guitar seminars he presented his new teaching approach called ‘’Electric Guitar; Advanced Techniques and Theory’’.
