We had a chance to catch up with lead singer Jesse Kid, aka "The Kid" to see how this whole thing got started and where it is headed!

Q: Where is DANGER from?

A: We're from a town called Växjö in Sweden.

Q: How long has DANGER been together?

A: A little more than one year now.

Q. How many members are in DANGER? Names? Instruments?

A: We´re five members:

Jesse Kid/vocals

Rob Paris/guitars

J.J Glitter/guitars

Togge Rock/bass

Danny Cräsh/drums

Q: What is the age range of the band members?

A: The range is somewhere between 18 and 25

Q: Why the Name DANGER? How did you come up with that name?

A: Actually its Rob’s idea… It comes from a really great track on Mötley Crue’s “Shout At The Devil” album 83.

Q: What (if any) is the message behind DANGER’s lyrics?

A: Well, the main message of it all is mostly cool situations in life and less cool situations in life. Often kinda critical lyrix to some parts of society…. but we also have much joy n “life is great” messages. We want our fans to party and having a great time during listening to our music.

Q: Who are your biggest influences?

A: I guess our biggest influences are big bands back in the 80s mostly… Like Hanoi Rocks, Mötley Crue, Skidrow, Cinderella, NWOBHM, Aerosmith, Pretty Boy Floyd etc.. But we like to spice it up a little with some punk styles, like Ramones, Sex Pistols.

Q: What is some of your favorite art, books (please include authors), & movies, if any?

A: If you ask me, I don’t read books.. but I love western movies, Sci-Fi movies and even some old action like Dirty Harry etc hehe. When it comes to art I really love tattoos =).

Q: When will DANGER be touring? Is there an American tour planned?

A: We´re having some smaller gigs here in Sweden this fall.. some booked n clear but also many dates that not´re decided yet. Then we have one gig booked in Berlin 30th of November.. and maybe our promoter down there’s gonna make a few gigs more in Germany.. would be awesome! No, we don’t have any tour planned yet in the states… We´re workin hard to get one thou.

Q: In general, what has DANGER been up to lately?

A: We´ve been promoting the band on different festivals this summer.. Also the making of these new songs on our demo “Shove It Up Your Azz”. Then we found a great new drummer Danny a few weeks ago, he’s really awesome! So, we´re building up a new show at the moment.

Q: How do you categorize DANGER’s sound ?

A: Hmmm hard to tell, I guess we somehow have totally mixed it up our own way.

Q: Any DANGER members from other bands, or currently working on other projects?

A: No, we´re all workin hard to drag this ship to the top. Well.. Togge sometimes plays with a local band called Chicks with guns… but it’s not a really big deal.

Q: Any plans for the next CD yet, or are you still working on supporting the current release?

A: Well.. we´re makin new songs.. and we actually have great songs for coming 2 cd’s. But the main thing at the moment is to support this new one.

Q: Besides DANGER, what are the various band members into when not, touring, rehearsing, recording music?

A: Party..party..party!!

Q: How would you describe a DANGER fan?

A: It's a girl between 14 and 25 yo.. who loves to sleaze it up and having a good time.

Q: What is your opinion on the current state of the world? (terror, the war in Iraq, and so on…)

A: I think its horrible that people can’t understand they only´ve got one life.. Why not make something good of it.

Q: Anything I left out that you want to say?

A: Do what you believe in kids.. don’t be scared to fulfill your dreams!
